December 2 2007

We've had a good month for tennis. Daniel won his first tournament, a parent and child event that we played in last Sunday at David Lloyd. It was great fun, and Daniel did very well, winning all six of our matches. Chris, the head coach presented him with a trophy at the end. Well done Daniel!
Libby is also enjoying her tennis more, she has started to stay for the whole of her lessons and is now able to hit the ball. Well done Libby!

I couldn't remember all the details when I uploaded this today. Daniel tells me that this was a trip to Newcastle on the bus, on Sept 13 2007. He remembers it because he was carrying his Tin Tin book and bus timetables. We went to our first ever Life-Seeker show at the Centre for Life, which was brill. We also went to the Chinatown Express for lunch and brought back some food for Moira. Wow, what a memory you have Daniel!

One of the many trips that we did down to the smelly green bridge over the Wear. I think this was the day that we went all the way to Penshaw. Daniel is pulling a good funny face.

Caravan trip to Welwyn, Summer 2007

While we were at Welwyn, Ruben invited us over to his girlfriend Jackie's house. It was a very nice cozy place, and Ruben did some reading with Daniel. We had a very nice supper there with some of our left-over chilli con carne, and some of Jackie's ratatoille.

This was taken at Beachy Head. The cliffs looked fabulous in the evening sun.

First visit to Ming Ki in Newcastle

And we were very pleasantly surprised. Roast duck (off bone) with rice sticks soup. Best duck I've tasted outside of London's legendary Hung Toa restaurant in Queensway.

Waiting for the Quaylink bus. A lovely warm day in September. I quite liked the poem.

Libby's favourite things

This is fun! "Making a potion", she calls it. One of Libby's all time favourites, mixing things. And especially things that smell nice, preferably nice perfumes and lotions.

This is a little movie that I did while we were on the bus going from the Strand to Green Park station. A nice view of Trafalgar sq.

Trip to London October 4 2007

We went on the Dockland's Light Railway to Greenwich, and then on the road train to the Observatory on the top of the hill. From there is one of the best views of London, and this was an absolutely beatiful day to enjoy it.

Trip to London October 4 2007

When we got out at Canary Wharf we found that we had exited the station from the east end, so had this lovely little park to walk through. I think Daniel was also very impressed and wants to make sure we always go through this park from now on.

Trip to London October 4 2007

After Kintaro's we went to Haagen Daz for dessert. It was lovely and sunny and warm so we sat outside. Was it good? Daniel's expression says it all!

Trip to London October 4 2007

Of course, we had to do a visit to our favourite restaurant, Kintaro's. Daniel had his usual favourite, Teriyake Mackerel, while I went for the small Sushi. Yum!!!!!

Trip to London October 4 2007

This was a fab day. We got the 7.20 from Newcastle, and had a full English breakfast on the train. Excellent! Our first stop was Covent Garden for the London Transport museum, which unfortunately has still not reopened. So we got a bus from The Strand to Green Park, and then Tubed it to South Kensington so that we could visit the V&A. We managed to get the front seats on the top deck. Nice!

Numberjack 4 is definately the best.

All Numberjacks present and correct for Libby's birthday.

The birthday cake that Moira made. Numberjack 4 of course.

Another birthday pic. Libby got this present from Christine, Katie's mum. It was a firm favourite.

Libby's 4th birthday! Having some fun opening the presents with her best friend, Katie.

This was taken on Februry 19th, the day before Libby's fourth birthday. Doing one of her all-time favourite activities, which is of course cake-mixing. That is naturally followed by eating the left-over dough in the bowel. Quite often she will now go to the cupboards and get out the ingredients herself and make her own dough. She has already made some quite passable biscuits.

This was taken on Jan 27. It was a really cold morning, and Libby had decided that she wanted a play in the caravan. So that's what we did. It reminded me of all the good times we had in the caravan last year, and made me look forward to the journeys that we have got planned for the coming season.

Libby fell asleep on the way back from the Metro centre, as we had got stuck in a bit of a traffic jam. The light in the car was so nice that I decided to take a picture of my beautiful girl.

Libby fell asleep on the way back from the Metro centre, as we got stuck in a bit of a traffic jam. What a beautiful girl.

This was taken at the Metro Centre, on Jan. 27. Daniel loves these waterfalls, and looked particularly dashing today in hsi smart shirt.

Second caravan holiday, 2006

This was taken on the first day of our second caravan holiday of 2006. It started off rather nicely in early July with some gorgeous weather for our stay in wonderful Welwyn (lovely caravan site). We stayed in Welwyn for a few days before heading off the Isle of Wight. Our son Daniel, who took this photo, loves Welwyn and London, as he is very keen on trains (surface and underground).
